As a Catholic, a military veteran, and a proud Texan, I believe being pro-life doesn't stop at birth, it means protecting and uplifting life at every stage. That’s why I support reproductive policies rooted in both compassion and reason. We must protect access to life-saving care like D&E and D&C procedures when a mother’s life is at risk. We must fully fund rape kit testing to bring justice to survivors, and invest in expanding adoption programs so that every child has a loving home and every mother has a real choice.

Healthcare is a moral issue, and in a state as great as Texas, no one should be left behind, especially not our most vulnerable. I’m fighting to ensure that by 2030, every nonprofit hospital in Texas has at least a Level 2 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, because every newborn deserves a fighting chance. We will expand funding for adoption assistance, ensuring that those who choose life have real support.

In rural Texas, access to care is freedom, and too many of our hospitals are closing. We need to expand Medicare and Medicaid to restore rural hospitals and strengthen care for our working families. I will push for state-level health coverage for teachers and first responders, with better plans and lower local tax burdens, and hazard coverage for veterans, women, seniors, and blue-collar workers still waiting for the system to catch up.

Healthcare shouldn't be run by big government or big insurance, it should serve people. That’s why I support lifting the ban on interstate health care co-ops and building a strong state grant system to support nonprofit health insurance options that put people before profit.

Lastly, we must expand funding for mental health care, drug rehabilitation, NARCAN access, and proper processing of sexual assault forensic evidence kits, because dignity and justice are pro-life values, too.
