A Son of TEXAS

Born into a devout Christian family in the heart of Granbury, Andrew learned the value of a hard day's work before he even graduated high school. Whether he was teaching Sunday School, raising animals through FFA, or balancing a full-time job with his studies, his Texas upbringing forged a spirit of fierce determination. Inspired by his father’s military service, Andrew felt a profound debt to the freedoms he enjoyed, prompting him to enlist in the U.S. Coast Guard straight out of school to pay that debt forward.

Soldier & Protector

From the decks of the Cutter Venturous, Andrew served on the front lines of Border Enforcement and Drug Interdiction, saving lives in high-stakes Search and Rescue missions. His leadership at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi saw him coordinating vital operations with Homeland Security to keep Texas safe. Transitioning to the Texas Air National Guard, Andrew brought that same unyielding courage to disaster relief and the War on Terror, proving time and again that he has the grit to stand in the gap for his fellow Texans.

Faith, Health, and a New Mission

Driven by a belief in the power of education, Andrew earned his Master’s in Engineering Management to lead during crises, but his greatest test came in 2021. A life-altering cancer diagnosis revealed the deep fractures in Texas's healthcare system and disaster responses, igniting a resolve to fight for those the system has left behind. Guided by the Gospel’s call to care for the vulnerable, Andrew is now trading his uniform for a bid for office, ready to heal our communities and ensure no Texan has to fight their battles alone.
